2024 Bench & Bar® Conference Policies
Cancellation Policy
For In-Person: Cancellation requests received after May 1, 2024 will not be refunded.
- FCBA Members: Cancellations received on or before May 1, 2024 will be refunded, less a $100 administration fee for Regular Members, Small Firm Members and Young Lawyer Members, or a $25 administrative fee for Government Members, Educator Members, and Retired Members.
- Non-Member: Cancellations received on or before May 1, 2024 will be refunded, less a $100 administration fee for Regular Members, Small Firm Members and Young Lawyer Members, or a $25 administrative fee for Government Members, Educator Members, and Retired Members and the New FCBA membership that was included in the registration.

For Virtual: Cancellation requests received after June 5, 2024 will not be refunded.
- FCBA Members: Cancellations received on or before June 5, 2024 will be refunded, less a $50 administration fee for Regular Members, Small Firm Members, and Young Lawyer Members, or a $25 administration fee for Government Members, Educator Members, and Retired Members.
- Non-Members: Cancellations received on or before June 5, 2024 will be refunded , less a $50 administration fee for Regular Members, Small Firm Members and Young Lawyer Members, or a $25 administrative fee for Government Members, Educator Members, and Retired Members and the New FCBA membership that was included in the registration.
 
Substitution and Transition Policy
Substitution Policy: In the event, a registrant is unable to attend the 2024 Bench & Bar® Conference — either in-person or virtually — substitution requests, submitted on or before June 14, 2024, will be accepted.
  • FCBA Memberships included with registrations are non-transferable.  A substitute who is not already an FCBA member will need to remit payment for FCBA membership as part of the registration process.

Transition from In-Person Registration to Virtual Registration: Transition requests from In-Person to Virtual Registration, received on or before June 5, 2024, will be accepted.  The difference in the registration fee will be refunded less any FCBA membership dues associated with the original registration.

Transition from Virtual Registration to In-Person Registration: Transition requests from Virtual to In-Person Registration received on or before May 1, 2024 will be accepted.  The attendee will be responsible for remitting the difference in the registration cost.  Lodging at the Wild Dunes Resort is not guaranteed for late transitions from Virtual Registration to In-Person Registration.
CLE INFORMATION
CLE Information: FCBA is an approved provider with most states requiring CLE.  Individual
states have different approval guidelines and timeframes, and the FCBA cannot guarantee a
state’s approval of CLE credit for any program session.  You may submit your CLE form for one week following the conclusion of the program.  After this timeframe, we cannot guarantee that your application will be submitted to your respective state for approval.

CONSENT TO USE YOUR IMAGE, LIKENESS, AND WRITTEN MATERIALS
Consent to Use Your Image, Likeness, and Written Materials: By participating in the 2024 Bench & Bar® Conference, as either a speaker or as an attendee, you agree to grant permission to the Federal Circuit Bar Association® Charitable and Educational Fund (FCBA), as part of its educational mission, to use and distribute (both now and in the future) your voice and image in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes for use in the Association’s educational, marketing, and communications materials. You also agree, certain limited, non‐exclusive rights in your speaker presentation and written materials, as listed below.  All rights not specifically granted to FCBA are reserved to you.  If you are not the author of your written materials, you agree to gain written permission to use such materials from the author by the written material deadline set forth below:
  • The right and license to reproduce, distribute, transmit (including but not limited to FCBA’s website), and sell any written materials submitted in connection with your speaker presentation at the Conference, whether alone or as part of a course book, or in any other form of publication (including electronic publication), which is done under the auspices of FCBA.
  • The right and license in directing the right to sub‐license others to duplicate, transmit, distribute, and sell copies of your speaker presentation delivered at the Conference in transcript form, or in any and all sound and visual media, throughout the world.
  • The right to use your name, persona, voice, likeness, and your speaker presentation and/or written materials in connection with the 2024 Bench & Bar® Conference.
