Summary:
This year marks the first year since its establishment in 1982 that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has even numbers of men and women sitting as active judges on the bench. Gender representation among the advocates who appear before the Federal Circuit in its patent cases, however, remains significantly uneven. Please join our panelists for a presentation of a recent empirical study regarding this gender disparity, and a discussion regarding what can be done to improve diversity in patent litigation.
